If you’re planning a fishing trip in Marathon, Hennessy Sportfishing delivers a true Florida Keys charter experience led by seasoned local captains. Fish with Captain Kerry, Captain Dez, or Captain Randy, each bringing years of hands-on sportfishing knowledge and a passion for putting guests on fish.

Trips are customized around conditions and your goals, targeting species such as Mangrove and Yellowtail Snapper, Black and Goliath Grouper, Blackfin Tuna, Mahi Mahi, Wahoo, and more. Depending on the bite, you’ll troll offshore, bottom fish the reefs and wrecks, or mix techniques using light or heavy tackle. For experienced and adventurous anglers, spearfishing opportunities are also available.

You’ll fish aboard a well-equipped 28’ Mako or 34’ Venture center console, designed for comfort, safety, and performance. For offshore trips, boats are limited to 5 passengers to ensure space and comfort, while inshore trips can accommodate up to 6 passengers for a more relaxed, family-friendly experience. Each boat features outriggers, quality rods and reels, tackle, and lures. Live bait is provided, and in many cases, part of the fun is catching it yourself.

A professional mate is on board to assist throughout the trip—handling lines, bait, and fish—so you can focus on fishing and enjoying the day. A 20% gratuity is customary for their hard work.

Fishing licenses are included, and your captain will ensure you stay within all current regulations and seasons. Just bring sunglasses, sunscreen (non-spray), bottled water, and a hat. Alcohol is permitted in moderation (no hard liquor or glass bottles).
